Xiaomi has rolled out its rival of Apple MacBook Pro in Beijing, China at an event. Named as Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro, the device comes in 3 versions on the basis of RAM and processor combination. All 3 models come with Intel ‘Kaby Lake-R’ 8th gen processors. The Core i5 + 8 GB RAM has a price tag of RMB 5599, Core i7 + 8 GB RAM has a price tag of RMB 6399, and the Core i7 + 16 GB RAM variant has a price tag of RMB 6999,.
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro comes with a narrow 15.6-inch screen with 72% NTSC color gamut. The display comes with custom built Harman Infinity speakers supporting Dolby Atmos audio and protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro comes with AC 2-antenna Wi-Fi for enhanced connectivity. There is a fingerprint sensor as well that groups up with security feature of Windows Hello. It also comprises a 3-in-1 SD card slot coupled with USB Type-C port to transfer data and charge the laptop. Xiaomi claims the device comes with 60Wh battery that backs quick charge tech as well. The tech permits the Mi Note book Pro to charge in 35 Minutes almost 50%.
Apart from the Intel ‘Kaby Lake-R’ 8th gen processor, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro utilizes Nvidia MX150 GeForce GPU to control graphics. The laptop has a weight of 1.9 kg and has dimensions of 360.7 mm x 243.6 mm x 15.9 mm.
Xiaomi, apart from its new laptop, also rolled out its phablet, the Mi Mix 2. It comes as a heir to the Mi Mix of last year with the main feature being a bezel-less screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9, same as that we have seen in the Q6 and LG G6 handsets. The handsets comes in 3 variants. There is a “Special Edition” version as well. The cost of the phablet begins at RMB 3299.
The firm also declared its new handset in the “Note” series—the Mi Note 3. The handset, similar to that of the Mi 6, comes with dual rear cameras.
