More freebies on the way for Idea subscribers! To combat the overpowering Jio force, Idea Cellular improved its Rs 309 plan just a few days after its offer of 50% extra data. Under the upgraded plan, subscribers will get daily data allocation of 1.5GB in lieu of the earlier data allocation of 1GB. Following are the details:
Details of Idea’s Upgraded Rs 309 Plan
- Total bundled data increased to 42GB from the earlier 28GB for the period of validity
- Cap of 1000 minutes per week and 250 minutes per day for outgoing calls
- Rate of one paisa/second after using up call cap
- 100 free SMS count and Rs 1/local SMS beyond
- Roaming calls free on a validity of 28 days
Other service providers too have jumped into the fray to offer to its subscribers.
Reliance Jio’s Rs 309 plan includes daily data allocation of 1GB with 49 days of validity, unlimited national and local outgoing calls. Jio apps like JioTV, JioCinema, JioMusic can be accessed for free.
Airtel network subscribers enjoy similar benefits on their Rs 349 plan. This includes 2GB daily data limit, unlimited STD and local calling, free SMS count up to 100 per day for validity period of 28 days. Vodafone subscribers enjoy identical benefits for a subscription of Rs 348.
Idea introduced the upgrade as an answer to Jio’s launch of the Rs 199 plan. The Rs 199 plan provided 1.2 GB data allocation per day along with other freebies in a validity period of 28 days. However, this is not the first time that such an upgrade is being offered by Idea. It had just modified its Rs 398 pack at the beginning of the month wherein subscribers would obtain 1GB data allocation per day for a period of 70days.
